Q&A on Presentation Change Requests

Q. Can I change my presentation title or content?

[Answer]Changes are not permitted except for critical errors that may affect the program structure.

Q. I was planning to present on-site, but I would like to switch to an online presentation.

[Answer]To reduce the burden on the host and operations, we ask that you present on-site unless you have special circumstances such as childcare or caregiving responsibilities. Please consider arranging for a substitute presenter first. If it is difficult to find one, contact us via the application form. The Annual Meeting Executive Committee will review your case based on your reasons.

Q. Can I cancel my oral presentation?

[Answer]Canceling an oral presentation greatly affects the overall program (as it creates time gaps). If you find it difficult to present due to scheduling issues, please consider appointing a substitute presenter. If unavoidable circumstances such as sudden illness or family matters arise, contact us through the application form. The Annual Meeting Executive Committee will deliberate based on the reasons provided.

Q. Will I receive a refund if I cancel my presentation?

[Answer]Even if you cancel your presentation after submitting it, the presentation registration fee and participation fee will not be refunded.

Q. Does the substitute presenter have to be a co-author?

[Answer]Substitute presenters are generally required to be members of the society (regular or associate members), but they do not have to be co-authors.

Q. Can I submit a pre-recorded video and have it considered as an online presentation?

[Answer]At present, recorded presentations are not officially accepted as valid presentations.

Q. I was scheduled to present online, but now I can attend the conference in person. Can I switch to an on-site presentation?

[Answer]Yes, it is possible. Please submit a request through the application form.
