How to apply for a presentation

Due Date for Application

From Noon on Thur., May 28 to Noon on Thur., June 11, 2026 (JST)

How to Submit

Please look through An announcement of the 2026 Autumn Annual Meeting.

Presenters need to pay both the presentation fee and the participation fee by noon on June 11, following an instruction given at the abstract submission.

Application Procedure

• Please create a user account.
• Please complete participant registration and payment of the registration fee.
• From the menu on the home screen, select "Abstract Submission" and register your presentation information.

- The URL of the conference platform will be announced at a later date.
- Please use a single user account to register multiple presentations. Please pay the   correct amount based on the number of presentations you have submitted.

Manuals

User manuals and related documents will be posted once they are ready.

Notes

• During the registration period, presentation information may be edited any number of times. However, no revisions or corrections will be accepted after the submission deadline.
• For abstract keywords, please use the PASJ Keyword List (except for Category Y). Up to five keywords may be entered.
• If the payment details do not match the number of registered presentations, the secretariat may contact you for confirmation. Please make sure to verify the number of presentations before completing payment.
• Submitted abstracts will be published on the website.
• For inquiries, please contact the appropriate department listed below.

Qualifications for a presentation at the annual ordinary session and how to apply for a presentation in the midst of waiting for an approval of membership application

A presentation at the ordinary session of the annual meeting is now limited to a full and an associate member from 2016 Autumn Annual Meeting.

For non-members of the Society who consider making a presentation at Autumn Annual Meeting, you must apply for a membership of the Society prior to a presentation application. If the application content is incomplete and if it takes time to confirm the nominee, you may not be able to complete the admission procedure within the prescribed period due to a delay of approval process.

In addition, since we are very busy with admission procedures just before the deadline of a presentation application, there is also a possibility that an expected trouble occurs. Therefore, please apply for a membership application with sufficient margin.

Please also note that you can apply for a presentation application even while you are waiting for an approval of a membership application. Those who are in the process of approval of a membership application are required to fill in the "receipt number" issued at the time of admission application instead of filling out the membership number, on the field of a presentation application form. If the admission procedure is not completed within a predetermined period of time, please note that your presentation application may be canceled.

Copyright Policy

As a general rule, the copyright of the work published in the proceedings belongs to Astronomical Society of Japan. You need to get permission from Astronomical Society of Japan in case of a personal presentation or publication.

It also needs to agree to go along with the following procedures when the author shows the copyrighted works (dissertations, figures and etc.) of the proceedings to the public through a personal web page. First, please specify on a personal web page that the work was originally published in the proceedings (clearly state a date of publication and a name of annual meeting) and the copyright subsists in Astronomical Society of Japan.

Please also inform a person in charge of annual meeting of the office of Astronomical Society of Japan in advance, that it will be released on the web, and provide us with the details of the URL.
